This is a great jellied salad for the holidays. It is colorful and can be served in heirloom dishes or can be made into a mold. It can be served with whipped cream or non-dairy topping or my aunt served it with sour cream. Any way you fix it, this side is a welcome addition to your holiday feast.

2 cups fresh cranberries (about 1 bag)
1-1/4 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 pkg raspberry Jello
¾ cup chopped celery
½ cup chopped walnuts
¼ tsp salt
Whipped topping

  1. 1 small chopped orange (including the rind)
  2. Boil cranberries in water until skin pops.
  3. Stir in sugar and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in Jello, celery, nuts, orange and salt.
  5. Pour into bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Can be used in jello mold although, sometimes it is too loose so, I just opt for the bowl instead.
  6. Serve with whipped topping.

Food processor or chopper and board
Medium saucepan
Lightly oil-sprayed festive bowl
