With new friends come new recipes. My friend Mona, along with her sons Michael and Nathan, made these great Cowboy Crackers and Buffalo Chicken Dip! We tried them together, talk about a great combo! Bring these easy recipes to any get-together and please the crowd!

Ingredients

Cowboy Crackers

1 1/3 c Canola Oil (no substitutions)
1½ – 2 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes (don’t be stingee)
1 tsp Black Pepper
1½ tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion powder
1 pckg Dry Ranch Dressing (Zesty Ranch for kick)
4 sleeves Saltine Crackers

Buffalo Chicken Dip

2 (10 oz) cans chunk chicken,  drained
1 (8 oz) package soft cream cheese
½ cup Ranch dressing
½ cup Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Sauce
1 ½ cup three cheese blend
Green onion/a few for flavor

Directions

Cowboy Crackers/Alabama Fire Crackers

  1. This recipe does not require any cooking.
  2. Open one end and place 4 sleeves of Saltine Crackers standing up in a 1 gallon Ziploc bag, remove sleeves.
  3. Combine all other ingredients in a bowl and pour over the crackers.
  4. Remove as much air as possible out of the bag then seal.
  5. Turn the bag frequently to coat all crackers.
  6. Wait at least 1 hour before serving. The longer they marinate the spicier they are!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

  1. Drain the chicken and shred in a bowl
  2. In separate bowl mix cream cheese and Ranch, add Franks (add more to taste), chopped green onion and 1 cup shredded cheese
  3. Mix in with the chicken
  4. Bake 350 for 20 minutes, with about 10 to go sprinkle with remaining cheese and green onion
