Finicky Florida weather may not call for the warm weather comforts of a bowl of steaming hot soup, but don’t let that stop you from making this rich, golden and memorable recipe. Each spoonful is as inviting as the first and will keep you craving more cheesy goodness.

Ingredients

4 Large thinly sliced onions
2 10 oz. cans beef broth
1 c white wine
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ c butter
½ tsp garlic salt
2 c shredded Swiss cheese
6 slices French bread buttered and toasted
½ c Parmesan cheese

Directions

Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add onions, sauté in butter until soft. Stir in broth, wine, Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 min. Ladle mixture into 6 oven-proof bowls and sprinkle with Swiss cheese, top with French bread and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Place under preheated broiler about 5 inches from the heat; broil about 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
